Field Trips

Learning beyond the classroom

Field Trips

Hands-on learning at Indiana’s museums, landmarks and living history sites — every trip designed to enrich what our students are learning in class.

Exploring together

Learning that goes beyond the classroom walls

Our field trips provide students with exciting opportunities to explore new places, gain hands-on experiences, and engage in meaningful learning outside the classroom. Each trip is thoughtfully designed to enrich students’ education while offering memorable experiences along the way. Check out some of our past field trip moments below!

Students learning through hands-on discovery
Why we go

Every trip is tied to what students are learning

Field trips are part of how we teach the BASICs — Bible, Academics, Service, Integrity and Courage. A day at a museum, a cavern or a living history site turns a chapter of the Abeka curriculum into something students can see, touch and remember.

  • Explore new places as a class
  • Gain hands-on experiences
  • Engage in meaningful learning outside the classroom
  • Build memories together as a school family

Parents welcome

Come with us — volunteer as a field trip chaperone

All parents who wish to attend field trips, help in a classroom or volunteer at a school event must have a background check completed. It takes just a few minutes to start.

Background check required

Every field trip volunteer needs a completed background check before the trip.

A minimal fee

You will need to pay a minimal fee once you receive your link by email.

Good for one year

Background checks are good for one year from the time they are completed.

Summer too

Weekly field trips at FCA Summer Camp

The trips do not stop when the school year ends. Summer Camp at Fishers Christian Academy includes weekly field trips and picnics in the park, alongside Bible lessons, character lessons, reading and math skill reinforcement, and arts and crafts.

Spaces are limited each summer, and dates, ages and pricing are released each spring.
